OBJECTIVE

As a designer, I had the opportunity to create the brand identity for MAWZOON, Bahrain's premier tea destination. The objective was to capture the brand's vision of blending simplicity, creativity, and tradition while fostering a vibrant community of tea lovers.

The challenge was to merge modern aesthetics with traditional elements, reflecting both the innovative and mindful approach of the brand while staying rooted in Arab culture.

The goal was to create a visually cohesive identity that feels minimal, elegant, and inviting while resonating with both contemporary and traditional audiences.

SOLUTION

Conceptual Direction

My initial goal was to create a brand identity that marries modern design principles with the richness of traditional Arab culture. I envisioned an identity that would reflect MAWZOON’s values of simplicity, quality, and authenticity, appealing to both local and broader Arab audiences.

Incorporating Traditional Elements

I drew inspiration from Arab cultural motifs and patterns, subtly integrating them into the design. These traditional elements helped establish a sense of timelessness, connecting the brand to its cultural roots in a respectful yet understated way.

Color Palette Selection

The color palette was carefully chosen to evoke warmth and authenticity, utilizing earthy tones to create a grounded feel. I added contemporary accents to give the brand a fresh look that complements its modern approach to tea.

Typography Fusion

For the typography, I combined modern fonts with Arabic script, carefully balancing heritage with innovation. This approach allowed the brand to maintain cultural relevance while embracing a contemporary visual style.

Throughout the design process, I explored various combinations of patterns, colors, and typefaces to ensure harmony between the traditional and modern elements. Each iteration was refined to align with MAWZOON’s values and visual storytelling goals.

The completed identity for MAWZOON captures a unique blend of modern minimalism and traditional Arab influences, enhancing the tea experience by visually bridging the past and present. The brand’s design resonates with a wider Arab audience, creating a memorable and culturally meaningful connection for customers.
